Report by Pam:

Wendy, Pam and David sat as usual with Wendy in shallow trance.

Our first visitor was Nellie, and Pam commented that we hadn't heard from her for a while. She responded that she had been busy, joining the children at play in Zimbabwe. She was a little concerned that their games seemed to include the rather traumatic conditions they all have to suffer out there, but she felt that maybe this helps them to come to terms with it, but she does, she says, try to turn them into having happy endings when she can.

It is delightful to realise how Nellie is maturing from the rather childish nine year old into a lovely young woman.

She says she has Fred there, and sure enough he is wanting to come and discuss the conservatory that David is building on the back of Pam's house. It is a little disconcerting, to say the least, to know that he is watching our every move, although apparently spending a great deal of his time sleeping in a care home, suffering from Alzheimer's.

David asked him how much he knew about the spirit world, and he said he seemed to be able to find himself there when he went to sleep and he felt quite cushioned and cossetted. He appears to have no fear of ending up there completely before too long, and even seems to have it in his mind that he would like to continue his earthly interest in pursuing the evolution of religions.

The talk with Fred took up most of the session, but there was just time to say hello to Josiah. He and his Sister came to Church with Wendy, Pam and David last Sunday, and he, Joe wanted to apologies at getting upset with the fact that there were so few congregation, and also that he was unable to locate the memorial stone for his much revered Lord of the Manor, John Whistler. We have since tried to find out his last resting place without success. There are a number of John Whistlers around the 1600s and 1700s, but we will go on trying.

Report by Dave:

Pam invited us all to her home in Whitchurch. It was 400 years ago that Joshiah and lizzy lived there and six years since Fred, Pam's husband, left for a care home in Whitney where he is being cared for very well. Toby , Wendy's 28 year old son was due to join us for a supper . He, Toby was not aware of his Mother's ability to go into trance.

As Pam stood at the stove cooking Moroccan lamb with Wendy close by, she suddenly clicked into trance and the ever inquisitive Lizzy started asking what was cooking and wanting a taste. Now the cooker is close to the back door, and sudenly a man's voice butts in saying 'right then , let's see this new building' . Yes, it was Husband Fred. I opened the door and showed him around explaining everything in the new conservatory we have constructed. The front door bell went and Pam let Toby in to see his Mother in trance talking as his Granddad . He took it very well saying' nothing surprises me with my Mother'.

Today in seance with Wendy, we spoke with Fred at length about the conservatory. Also about his ability to communicate while still alive and the degree to which he feels he is spirit more than human .

His explanation was facinating in that he feels he is dying slowly and that is a privilege because he can learn as he goes rather than a snap change like a sudden death that leaves a human confused for some time. There is a lot he has to learn and he, at this stage, is not able to do things other spirits seem able to do . I said 'yes you can't tell me Toby ringing the door bell at the same time you were in trance talking to me was coincidence , someone over there was organising that '.
He chuckled and shyly said yes.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2012/03/march-6th-report-by-pam.html' title='March 6th. Report by Pam

The day before we were due to sit in seance, Pam had a very distinct awareness of her Mother's Eau de Cologne perfume, and felt she wanted to make contact, Was Pam in for an admonishment.?

From her early teens, Pam's and her Mother's relationship was a strained one, and this went on to a greater or lesser degree all through life.Pam realises now that she had been very insensitive to the trauma's her Mother went through from the mid thirties to the mid forties, till her Father died suddenly and when he was only 49. They had both gone through the agony of a collapsed, previously flourishing, chicken farm with a comfortable life style, to having to start on another project to survive. (There was no compensation in those days). They chose to move to another area and set up as a radio and electrical dealers (Something Pam's Father was keenly interested in.),and managed to keep afloat all through the war, although it was a struggle. Looking forward to better times ahead, and eventually a retirement to Devon, he developed cancer and a tumour on the brain.

Like most teenagers, Pam was selfish and inconsiderate, especially towards her Mother at the time of her Father's death.

Wendy, David and Pam sat with Wendy in shallow trance. Our two visitors were no surprise. David had been hoping he could have a chat with Dr. Brown. With several parties since Christmas, he'd not had the opportunity to have a serious talk.

But first to quickly make contact was Pam's Mother, Lily. Apparently she heard Pam confessing to Wendy how badly she had behaved towards her Mother, and how guilty she felt now about it. Lily wanted to say that she mustn't feel guilty, because she, herself was at fault in a lot of ways, and with all the traumas going on she had failed to act in a trully Motherly way. Quite a long heartfelt talk of particular grievances followed, ending in both asking and giving forgiveness, and ending with a greater understanding of each other.

David then had a chance to ask his questions, but first Dr. Brown asked after his health and on being told that David was suffering with aching thighs, and wondered if it was arthritis, said, 'I believe it's to do with your pelvic position. I notice you are walking lop-sidedly again.' Fortunately David has a physio appointment tomorrow, so we'll see what she says.

David then asked how it was that when a spirit has apparently taken over Wendy's body, another one can come quickly and butt in. Dr. Brown then explained useing the analogy of a steam train. (David has explained this more fully in his report)

More meaningful discussion between them both was followed by a hearty handshake, and the seance came to an end.

Report by Dave (Feb 28th):

Yesterday Pam got a strong whiff of cologne and said (That is my mother' What does she want ? ). Sure enough the first one to talk today was her and I guess Pam will tell how she and her Mother eased their guilt and each put things straight now she is over there.

I had meditated earlier talking over with Dr Brown how it is when talking with us in trance. a spirit within a medium can move over so quickly giving complete control to another. He came after Pams Mother had finished. The explanation was good . Imagine an express train with several people on the foot plate and carriages with many passengers .

The medium is the train and the foot plate holds the drivers who with a little more energy from the medium is able to cope with one applying the brakes, another blowing the whistle and yet another shovelling coal. I prefer ,he says ,to be polite and wait my turn in the carriage and wait to be asked to go to the driving position. Sometimes when a particular point is being missed I tend to tap on the shoulder of those in control and whisper in their ear hopefully to get an invitation to speak.

Materialisation was the next topic. and I asked when Jesus reappeared after leaving the cross, was he in spirit form and where did the ectoplasm or energy come from ? (Dr ) As with the little boy who lived in the servants quarters in your cellar. He loved running up the stone cellar steps to escape the dull darkness down there when he was sent to the shops for his mother, So in dying he left a residual energy that he is able to pick up on that never diminishes ( unless removed by exorcism ) . All what you call ghosts work like that or from a mediums ectoplasm.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2012/02/february-27th-28th-report-by-pam.html' title='February 27th-28th. Report by Pam

Wendy, Pam and David sat as usual, with Wendy in shallow trance.

A much more confident Lizzie was our first visitor this evening, and she straight away put on the cap that Pam had made, under instruction, several months ago. She said she didn't want to be mistaken for her Brother Joe, as had happened before on several occasions.

She talked about watching Pam while she was cooking a chili dish for lunch, and there followed a discussion about chillies, peppers, and peppercorns.

We told her it was Wendy's Brother's birthday and that he and his family were on holiday in South Africa. Lizzie said she knew that Wendy had sent him greetings on her 'machine', and Pam said she had sent a card by 'snail mail',which brought Lizzie a vision of snails replacing postmen, and we all allowed our imaginations to run riot.

David had brought some grapes and a banana into the lodge for the 'motley crew' to taste, and Lizzie sat with a bunch of grapes in her lap munching away appreciatively.

She asked if Pam's Father was coming as she hadn't seen him for a while. They both called and he appeared, commenting on the strange fact that he had died 65 years ago to the day and Peter, his Grandson was born exactly 10 years later.

David asked him about his service in the Veterinary Corp in Egypt in the first world war, and he talked at length about his role there. He and David also compared the differences when David's Brother Syd was stationed there for military service after world war two.

Pam's Mother came and talked about the traumatic time of her widowhood, and she and Pam both confessed to behavioural shortcomings at that time and had a heartfelt conversation airing hidden grievances on both sides. They then decided it was time to call in Joe to taste his banana, where upon we had to stop him from eating skin and all.

He passed on a message from Fred to say he was pleased with the red quarry tiles that David laid in the new conservatory last weekend.

Nellie was the last visitor, and related news of her latest visit to Zimbabwe, telling how she tried to encourage the children to exchange their ill fitting t-shirts with each other so that each was wearing a more suitable size, but apparently they were loath to let go of the one in their possession

Report by Dave

Was over 60 years ago that Pam's dad died ...the anniversary coincided with our meeting.
The day before as Pam was sitting in the living room she got a smell of a pipe smoker and an old well worn coat . We talked it over as to who it could be and I had put forward that it could have been her dad in his chicken farming days in the 1930s. Sure enough when he talked at our meeting he confirmed it was him and demonstrated how his wife would shake the feathers and dust out of his jacket before entering the house.

It never ceases to amaze me just how many things spirit are able to learn to do. Harry,
Pams dad, was talking about his first world war service in Egypt and I mentioned my brother Syd was there after the second war ( he possibly knows Syd as they both communicate ). I was unable to say who was ruling Egypt in Syd's time. This came to me later in our meeting while another spirit was talking and I, unable to control myself, said Nassa. Now when you think any one spirit is in complete control of all the mediums senses , Harry takes over instantly saying ( Oh yes Colonel Nassa.) Our meetings are more like a fireside chat with friends and loved ones past and present over a four hundered year period.

Fred tells us he likes the red quarry tiles I am putting in the new conservitory. Josiah asks what he is talking about when he say's they look nice and warm. Lizzie is frightend she may scare Pams graddaughters when they stay at her home but she desparatly wants to join in and play with them. She is very nervous and feels more secure at Whitchurch than Tetbury.

Joshia apears to be able to be around at any period of time he choses and breaks into fits of laughter at Whitchurch when Wendy walks through a wall into a bedroom that was mid air in his time. Yet he can instantly come back and say " No this hand rail was not here in my time".

Near the meeting end we introduced the motley crew to a bunch of grapes and a banana. The four hundred year olds had never seen a banana and Josiah started to bite the end off without peeling it. He thought it hilarious when Pam said " you have to undress it first" . They all enjoyed it and Josiah came back for more.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2012/02/february-21st-report-by-pam.html' title='February 21st. Report by Pam:

Pam, Wendy and David sat with Wendy in shallow trance.

It seemed quite an emotional seance, but perhaps not surprising given the date. It began with a conversation with Dr. Brown, talking about the way in which we can give mutual healing, benefiting both worlds. We got round to discussing Pam's Husband Fred, and how he is well aware now that he has 'a foot in each camp' so to speak, and how he seems to delight in the fact that he knows that we know too.

It was inevitable that Fred should make an appearance. In fact, David would have been most disappointed if he had not., because ,unbeknown to Pam, he had secreted a huge bunch of yellow roses for Fred to give to Pam, which he did amid much laughter and delighted exclamations of surprise. There followed a long chat with reminiscing high on the agenda. He talked about the new conservatory that David was building on the back of his and Pam's house, and how David's approach to any project is so very different from how his would have been, and that probably they could never have worked together although they felt to be mates now.

Joe was next, David having taken some raspberries into the Lodge for the young ones to taste. Joe's reaction was that they were much larger and juicier than he remembered them and they could do with some honey on them. His main concern was where we had found them in the middle of Winter.

We got on to the topic of wood for the open fires at Pam's house, and he could not understand that we were not allowed to go anywhere we liked to collect fallen branches, and had to be very careful about what we gathered. We said that we even have to buy a load of logs occasionally, which astonished him.

Lizzie had her taste of raspberries and said she had been' reliving ' the party we had for Fred last week, and how much she enjoyed it. She does seem a very lonely girl, and both she and Joe are really keen that a way can be found to enable David and Pam to spend more time at the house in Whitchurch. Just to complicate matters they would like Wendy to be there as well. We have said they need to help make things happen to that end.

There seemed no sign of Nellie tonight, but when she did come through she was a very subdued young girl. She had been to Zimbabwe again, with Tom, and had experienced the agony of seeing many young children dying of starvation and disease. She had helped with their transition from one world to the other, which was very traumatic because many had been brought up with the belief that there was a state of purgatory that had to be endured before arriving in heaven.

Report by Dave:

Spirit appears to enjoy the opportunity to try a physical life at times and using one of us in trance can be a source of great pleasure and happiness achieving things that they were unable to experience in the time they were here . Nelly who now has lost her disfigurement and thrills her father and mother with childhood games she was unable to perform while here in the physical . Now she has grown to be a helper, meeting her spirit sister in Zimbabwe caring for sick and dying children there. This in turn gives her parents the thrill that the child they produced is a powerful helper in the evolvement of the human race serving our makers cause . We here feel proud to have played our part too.

Elizabeth and Josiha from four hundred years past delight in returning to the home they share with Pam today. Asked if they would mind if we come and share the house with then when we die, we were welcomed with enthusiasum . The main concern with them was not our improvments we carryout but the fear that someone may come and knock the house down . We ALL feel the need to preserve the property for like minded people to live in . Who else has bought a property in the spirit world ?

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2012/02/february-14th-report-by-pam.html' title='February 14th. Report by Pam:

Pam, Wendy and David sat with Wendy in shallow trance.

Pam's husband Fred had suggested we take his chocolate birthday cake into the lodge so that the' motley crew' could have a taste. They all 'stood' back, to let Fred have centre stage for a bit, and he told us about his actual 90th.birthday party at the care home, and how he was unable to blow out the candles. We had all visited him that morning and he managed to eat a few chocolate drops. He said he appreciated our coming very much, and all the cards.

It seemed to us that there was quite a crowd gathered around, ( afterwards we counted 11 or 12) and we only had to address a Spirit and they answered, even joining in a conversation that was already taking place between two others.

We had blown up some balloons, and invited Joe to have a go, but warned him it would go off with a bang if he got it too big. He wanted to know what they were made of and said it reminded him of blowing up a pig's bladder to make a football.

Pam's Father said he would show us his party trick which entailed rubbing the blown up balloon against his sleeve and hopefully it would then stick to the ceiling. Unfortunately it didn't work. We thought it was because the balloons were plastic these days, but Pam's Mum said maybe it was because her Dad would have been wearing a rough Harris Tweed jacket which would give plenty of friction.

Joe threw balloons into the air and invited Lizzie and Nellie to head them back! There seemed quite a delightful party atmosphere.

The cake which David had made was a real hit, and Wendy, (medium) commented afterwards that her diet had gone completely out of the window. There was a lot of discussion about how and where chocolate originated, and how it was turned into a useable product.

Nellie said that in her day, 200 years ago, there were places serving hot chocolate. Ladies would have smaller cups than the gentlemen, and it was considered the place to be seen.

Joe's two Aunties wanted the recipe for the cake.

Eventually, Pam reluctantly said we should be thinking of closing down, Wendy was getting tired, and Fred had already gone into the background. There was general regret at the thought, but when it was suggested that we could celebrate David's birthday in a few days time, they cheere up, and we finished by singing 'Happy Birthday to you', both with conventional words and also some childish and impromptu ones.

Report by Dave:

400 years ago a little girl, Elizabeth, and her older brother lost their mother, father and granddad within a very short time. We suspect consumption or pneumonia. This was in the height of the Cromwellian uprising and as a consequence it was considered that the safest place for them was the work house. This turned out to be even worse as they only saw each other in church at week end's . Conditions were that bad that neither lived very long. We have these two as the inherited owners of Pam's home all be it in spirit form. We converse each week with them via Pam's daughter, in the trance form. We love them so much and find them so interesting we consider them family now.

Pam woke the other morning feeling Elizabeth was feeling left out and neglected. I had the feeling she didn't want sympathy but needed love and reassurance that we cared for her. It was decided I would have a one to one sitting with Wendy asking Elizabeth if we could help and to let us know if all was not well.

She came through very quickly... talking of Wendy's black cat that was a stray found on the roadside at about a week old. Wendy's black cat Elizabeth says was born in a field, the foolish mother choosing that place rather than the safety of her home . It was here that the mother cat and kittens, with the exception of the one black cat were taken by a fox. A friend passing in the rain stopped, picking up the bedraggled creature that was starving and gave it to Wendy as they themselves had a dog and were unable to care for it. Elizabeth likened her situation to that of this kitten and we understand her feelings. Joshia her brother was spot on with his message to me that love is what she is missing, along with reasurance that she has no reason to doubt we are caring loving folk that will not leave her and always be with her until time comes for us to join her. At this point the house rules were broken and Wendy's mobile phone rang! A nervous Elzabeth backs off . Wendy pops out of trance and answers it. After the interruption, she came back in (to trance) and we explained to the girl (Elizabeth)...who is that inqusitive we try to tell her what happend and in the end teach her how to send a phone message! Try explaining a phone to a 400 year old girl! All I can say is she learned so quickly and was keen to learn more so I tried to find a way to explain electricity and the the workings of an ipod. We video'd her, showing her the recording to which she was amazed, looking at the wafer thin ipod asking how do you get that in there? " Just you wait till I du tell Joe"

We left a very happy loved little girl.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2012/02/january-7th-report-by-dave.html' title='January 6th. Report by Pam:

Wendy, Pam and David sat as usual with Wendy in shallow trance.

We had the feeling that Pam's husband Fred was going to come through this evening, so we had his favourite piece of music, 'The Rhapsody in Blue' playing before the seance began, and sure enough he was the first to contact us.

It is his 90th. birthday on Friday, and it seems he's concerned about our plan to take a chocolate cake to his Care Home because, as he said, he will have difficulty in eating any of it and far better to bring it into our lodge next week and let Nellie and Joe have a taste. We said, 'all right we'll have a party for you then', and he said,'I'll try to find my Mum and Dad and invite them.

We went on to talk about the time when he will be fully over in the Spirit World, and how much more comfortable it will be, but he really wants to outlive Paul, a relative who died recently at the age of 90 years and six months.

Nellie, who is always up for a party started practising 'Happy Birthday to you' on her xylophone, and wondered if the poor children she visits in Zimbabwe could be coaxed into making similar wooden instruments so that they too could make music.

Joe was offered his mouth organ and he tried to play a well known hymn on it. He said there seemed to be some notes missing.

He's always eager to learn something new and wanted to know what we meant by cake, and how it was made. He then offered us a recipe for a steamed pudding made from bread, milk, eggs and black currants (may need some honey). Probably a bit like our summer pudding.

His Grandad then made his presence felt, and seemed to be suffering from arthritis. We told him he really didn't need to have that any more, and David talked him through shaking it off, limb by limb. Josiah sen. was very grateful, and couldn't believe the freedom of movement it gave him. It prompted him to show us a previously painful manouver with his hands and fingers representing a church and its congregation that he used to amuse small children and we were all amazed to realise that we still do this today to entertain little ones.

Joe and his Grandad told us more about the people living in and around Pam's house in Whitchurch, and how, at one time, when it was standing empty, it had a large opening cut in the front to allow it to be used as a store for the forge opposite.

After a big fire at the local inn, stabling and changing of horses moved to the forge and that area became a hive of activity.

Joe also told us about his duck pond and how they topped it up with the odd straggling duckling from the nearby river.

We are building up quite a picture of the village and inhabitants in the 17th century.

Next morning. Report by Dave:

A talk on policy and closer understanding of the needs of human with spirit seemed overdue, so I had a session with Dr Brown this morning. He came in quickly and was aware of my plan to chat of things we can do to benefit each other.

His delight is following medical progress coming via a medium, enabling him to relive physical body abilities not available in spirit , that is touch, taste, smell, and strange things like the ability to conceal feelings even to the extent of telling fibs.

We here sometimes withhold things to save hurt to each other. This I gather is not the way in the spirit camp. Nothing is hidden. To rid Nelly of her human disfigurement now she has past to spirit and wants to visit the physical, has turned out to be a delight to her and all of her spirit family...the same also ridding Joshua senior of his arthritis . To watch him last night twiddling his fingers, able to do the old rhyme ( This is the church , this is the steeple , open the doors and there are the people ) was great thing to be able to do after having stiff fingers when in physical life. All of these things brings joy to spirit and to us, making them want to join us progressing both camps.

I asked his thoughts on the books on Gall bladder flush and arthritis cure. He says man is getting used to walking on two legs when we were meant to be on four and this puts strain on our joints. So we can't expect any thing but problems in old age . Don't over work the joints keeping them free and gently exercised is his advice here. He says he cringes watching my joints when I carry heavy timber or bags of coal. He says that I must be stupid. I agree.

As for the Gall bladder flush. Yes that is quite spectacular but he thinks malic acid in apples will do the same thing and an apple a day was a good saying but perhaps better to settle for apple juice each day. Watch your posture, stand against a wall and mark the position of shoulders and hips keeping a regular record that you can correct in the early stages and exercise gently.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2012/02/january-31st-report-by-pam.html' title='January 31st. Even Florence Nightingale was regarded with suspicion, so it would take them a while for Nellie's family to come to terms with the 'new' ideas.

We asked Joe if he had been with us yesterday when we stopped off at the National Welsh Life open-air Museum near Cardiff on our way home, from a weekend near Swansea. He said, yes of course he was, and we discussed together some of the interesting exhibits that threw more light on life in Joe's time (mid 1600s)

He then introduced his Grandfather, also Josiah, who had actually built the first house (late 1500s) that formed the beginnings of Pam's home. He seemed interested in talking about the alterations and extensions that have been made over the centuries since, and has obviously taken a keen interest in each new occupant. He even commented, accurately, on how Pam and her husband rapidly covered or removed the yellow paint that was dominant everywhere when they'd moved in.

Josiah Snr, is also very keen to go through the list of occupants since the early 1700s that Pam has. Off hand he could only recall the Jemmet family, who moved in after the house had stood empty following the death of his twin daughters, Joe's auties Ruth and Joan, whom we met at Christmas time.

He commented on the comfortable chair in the Tranquilarium lodge, so we feel sure he will be back if only to experience that again!

Report by Dave:

In one week Wendy's gatekeeper guide Tom and our Victorian spirit child Nelly have got together discussing Nelly's future as her deformity has gone and she chooses to progress doing something useful . Tom has taken her to Zimbabwe looking after deprived children there at Yolanda's suggestion. Charlotte, Nellie's sister, is a sprit working there in a hospital who is able at times to materialise and help the children.

It is quite moving to think we have been able to help bringing them all together enabling both advancement to earthbound and spirit souls.

Cromwellian Josiah introduced his shy granddad who was a delight...telling us about building Pam's home and the folk who have lived there since. Pam new of the Jemmet family who lived there at some time and he said yes there were a lot of Jemmets in Whitchurch, they bred like rabbits so it's not surprising one of them made good and was able to buy the house. Granddad Stone was from an earlier age and accustomed to an Elizabethan lifestyle with street parades and fun so different to Joe with his sombre puritan ways enforced by Cromwell.

Victorian attitudes shown by Nelly and her Father stick with them too, so we find adapting to each others ways is not always easy, but we all try to understand each others feelings, making sure we progress evolving as our creator intended. Joshia hit a tender spot in me when he explained how much he cherished our presence at Whitchurch (Pam's house) . In his own words he commented "I wish you would come and live there all the time and bring our Wendy , it's a lot happier house than Tetbury. The happiest part of that is the cellar." Why, we asked? "Because your little boy spirit loves running up and down them steep stairs." he replied. I told him that that was the servants quarters. "Yes I know" said Joe "but he was so happy there".

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2012/01/january-24th.html' title='January 24th. Report by Pam

This morning Wendy felt she wanted to go into the Tranquilarium lodge to sit in seance. She didn't really know why.

It soon became evident once she was in trance. Spirit child Nellie was bursting to tell us her news!

Apparently, it was considered time she began to grow up, and that she had experienced childhood for long enough.

It has been decided that Tom will take her to Zimbabwe, to be with the deprived people there, and to see if they can put ideas into the starving and badly treated natives. Yolanda would be there too.

Nellie was feeling somewhat apprehensive, fearing that she would witness scenes that she would rather not, but with 'Hero Tom' and 'Benefactor Yolanda' there to cushion her, she would cope.

It seems that when the 'white' population were driven out of the country, they left their tracts of land to their 'black' workers to continue to farm, but the government have systematically claimed the land back, leaving these hard working people with nothing.

Tom has the idea that he can encourage them to become self-sufficient, on small plots, such that would not interest the government. David suggested that having a bee hive might be one thing they could benefit by.

As a form of light relief David offered Nellie a small piece of dark plain chocolate. She said it tasted like cocoa, and somehow the conversation got round to chocolate flavoured ice-cream.

From the Spirit World, Pam's husband Fred (who is still physically living but has Altzeimers so spends a lot of time in the Spirit realms) butted in to say he liked choc-ices, and his favourite chocolate was either caramel centred or whole-nut. Pam confirmed that this was true.

We asked Joe if he also wanted to try a piece of chocolate, something quite new for him, and he was intrigued, and he wanted to know where it came from and how it was made. He sat there enjoying the rest of the bar, allowing Lizzie a brief taste. We suggested he lick his fingers because it was melting on them, and he said, yes, it did feel a bit waxy.

David has had the idea that it would be great to try to return part of Pam's house back to the state it was in Joe's time, but Joe seemed to be completely against the idea, and his only wish was that we live in it more than we do at present. *At the moment Pam and Dave share time living between their respective homes.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2012/01/january-13th-report-by-pam.html' title='January 13th. Report by Pam

Since it appears that David is also able to go into shallow trance, Wendy is keen that time should be devoted to giving Spirits the opportunity to use him as a medium if they wish.

She need not have been concerned because this morning, while sitting having coffee, we had a visit from 'Shalom', through David. He/she said that as a group we were in the rare position of being on the right lines to enable us to grow close to the Spirit World. We were asking very pertinent questions enabling us to progress our understanding.

Of course we feel very encouraged by this, and consider we have a precious gift, that we must nurture.

This evening, we began our seance with Wendy requesting a shortened period, so apart from greetings from our 'Motley Crew', we spent the whole time in conversation with Tom.

David has been in the habit of sitting in the Lodge from time to time and reading passages from 'Conversations with God'. Tom went to great lengths to encourage us to understand that it is very good to read books, the more the better, and the more diverse opinions offered the better still, but at the end of the day we must realise that none of it was "Gospel'. With the best intentions, statements may not be as originally intended, and we should be prepared to spend some time thinking and coming to conclusions for ourselves.

He also recommended meditation as a good way of searching our own minds.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2012/01/january-10th-report-by-pam.html' title='January 10th. Report by Dave:

A preamble on a special seance today. I have had a prod telling me we ought to sort out a direction from the spirit team out that visit the Tranquilarium and Wendy asked if we could meet as she thought someone wanted to say something.

A few years back, soon after she died, Wife Yolanda, via a medium, told us that she was looking after young children who had passed, and was counselling them . We now realise, because there is no such thing as time, that she was able to plonk a Victorian child called Nelly into Wendy's lap as her first spirit client. Nelly was the daughter of Dr Frederick Brown from Lewisham and his wife Eliza. Nelly had a badly deformed face, was shielded from the public but loved very much. A son, James, went to sea training as a ships surgeon . Unfortunately he died at sea when he fell from the rigging in a storm when he was seventeen years of age. James communicates regularly with us. The tragedy continued in the family when Eliza remained ill after Nelly's birth and died while giving birth to another child. Dr Brown felt guilt at making his wife pregnant and has suffered with this guilt the rest of his life and this guilt continued through 200 years since his death.

With like minded people, a few of us have debated and compared experiences regarding how we can help each other here and in spirit world. Healing Nelly's face appears to have succeeded now she has parted with her physical body and we have told her it has gone. Through Wendy's mediumship Nellie was able to feel clear skin, which she feels to be hers to feel whenever she likes. This delights her and her doctor father who now watches his daughter frolic with us and other spirits while in trance form here and back in 'our world'.

It was a joy to meet again Dr. Brown's frail wife a few weeks ago.

Todays Seance was an explanation by Dr Brown and his wife, thanking us for our contribution in bringing them back together. Each now understanding with total forgiveness and now able to enjoy their children in a healed form .

Many things have been experienced by these spirit people though Wendy's mediumship. Touch, taste, love of the individual, we are able to help them experience once more through trance mediumship .

What joy this gives to all of us helping each other is priceless.

Report by Pam:

Wendy had the distinct feeling that she, Pam and David needed to sit in trance today, because Dr. Brown had something he wanted to say to us.

As soon as Wendy was in trance, we heard his excited voice, and he began to thank us, and say how grateful he was to us, and then he called in his wife Eliza to confirm all he said.

She sounded just as excited, which was such a delight, because the last time we were in communication, her voice was very sad, and she still seemed to have regrets left from her life on earth.
She had seemed not to be that connected with her family.

Later, talking to Dr. Brown, he said he still felt guilt for causing Eliza's pregnancy, and consequent death, after the birth and demise of a baby boy.

What a difference today! Eliza said she felt like a 20 year old in the throes of her first love affair, and her Husband, Frederick obviously shared her feelings.

Apparently, they had talked together, and been inspired by our philosophy of forgiveness, and closure, discarding past failings and concentrating on loving.

She also thanked us for all the kindness we had shown towards Nellie...helping her to realise she no longer needed to bear the facial disfigurement she'd suffered from birth, and encouraging her to have normal nine year old childish experiences wherever possible. It seems they are going to try to locate Charlotte, their elder daughter and her children, so that they can all be a family again.

All this makes us feel very humble, but at the same time 'over the moon' that we had been able to do something to help Spirit Friends, rather than the other way round.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2012/01/january-5th-report-by-dave.html' title='January 5th. Report by Pam

Tonight we shared our sitting with welcome guests. The spirit team appeared to enjoy the additional energy being offered by our visitors.

Nellie came first and, a little shyly to begin with, talked about her life on Earth. She was asked if she helped in the kitchen, and replied that they actually had a maid, but she remembers sitting in the corner when pears were being prepared for stewing and then being layered between sugar so that they could be used right up to Christmas when they would be chrystalised.

Nellie called in Lizzie who was delighted that we had some more marzipan animals. She was asked what her favourite food was on Earth. She said it was anything sweet, especially really ripe apples, and went on to describe their diet. 'Was she a big girl, with all the sweet foods?' 'No' she said, 'we were running about and working too hard to get fat'.

She could smell the turkey leg we had brought back in at Joe's request and wanted to call him in.

He couldn't understand how it had kept fresh for a week without any snow or icy frost. We explained about 'freezers', and once again Joe showed amazement at electricity, and said he could imagine that we would be lost now without it.

One of the visitors said it was good of him to 'come through'. He wanted to know what we meant, so we had to explain that it was a term we use, and why we use it. He has a very enquiring mind and nothing new seems to pass him by.

Dr. Brown brought us back to thinking along more serious lines, and it was just the right way to end a very pleasant evening. He endorsed David's understanding that we should accept more and question less, and encouraged him in his newly discovered ability to be able to open himself up to spiritual connections.

Tom briefly echoed his words.

From Dave:

The mother of Pam's daughter in law 'died' a few days ago after falling down some stone steps. She was the same age as me (mid seventies )and the same thing happened to me three weeks ago leaving me wondering why I survived.

This lady had rebelled against the Catholic religion in adult hood...becoming an agnostic. I have, as my bible and guide, books written by folk in trance, as spirit have a totally un-biased attitude to guiding us, unlike our religions ,who try, by man's power, to enforce upon us, a way of life without questioning ourselves as to there accuracy.

Flipping at random through Neal Donald Walshe's ' Conversations With God' I got 'How to Respond to an inner feeling and stand back letting it out without question'. This I was able to put into practise yesterday lunch time, while sitting at the table wiih family. As result I expereinced a spontaneous trance condition and, speaking through me, the lady said she was fine and not to be concerned about her . Her husband was coping well and needed love and encouragement but all was well. She will continue to show love to all despite passing.

I was congratulated by Dr Brown and told that my trance experience was my own progress becoming demonstrated and to develop it. This was so encouraging after seven years of my trying too hard.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2012/01/january-2nd-report-by-pam.html' title='January 2nd. This was very emotional to both.

The work Yolanda has chosen is looking after young children who have passed, as well as those that are suffering here on earth. Our Victorian girl Nelly, who had a deformed face when on earth was one of the children in her care. As there is no such thing as time in spirit as we know it the numbers are enormous and she is kept busy as you can imagine . She loves her work and says it is far easier to put ideas into a child's head than into the mind of a grown person.

Little things, like in the Japanese Tsunami when parent's were stressed and lost for shelter and cooking she was able to inspire the children to gather fire wood and make improvised shelters. Collecting water in Africa, where mothers carried water pots on there heads for miles she inspired kids to improvise a barrel on wheels to do the job quicker and better.

Tonight we had our Christmas party. For love of our spirit children, we made mulled wine, almond and marzipan sweets, plumb pudding and the odd turkey leg. The fun was beyond belief. Can you imagine Cromwellian Joshia tucking into a Turkey leg and saying "How do you roast this without a fire?" and his aunty Ruth telling how she made custard at the big house upon the kitchen range.

The social side of mediumship rarely gets a mention, yet for us it is invaluable. It is a resource that is open to anyone who wishes to open their mind to it.

Report by Pam:

Wendy, Pam and David sat with Wendy in shallow trance.

We had no idea how this evening's seance would proceed, as we had suggested it could be considered to be a party, and invited any of our spirit friends and relatives to join us if they felt they would enjoy the experience.

Our pot bellied stove was glowing with warmth, and we had old style carols playing quietly in the background.

David had provided a few suitable nibbles, some tiny marzipan animals, macaroon biscuits, a plum pudding with custard, and just in case Joe fancied it, a turkey leg, which, in fact , he certainly did appreciate and said he'd never tasted before.

Wendy had made some mulled wine, and held a large lolly in her hand. Since all the goodies to be tasted by the spirits had to be through a medium, we had to consider Wendy's digestion!

We had barely sat down when Nellie wanted to test the lolly, closely followed by the other young people, Lizzie and Joe and and Nellie's sailor Brother James, who was not sure it wasn't below his dignity to be seen licking a lolly.

We soon had the sense that there was quite a crowd at our party, and conversation flowed from one spirit to another so much so that at times it was difficult to know who was speaking, with continual interjections. Conversations were wide ranging as they would be at any party. We had the best remedy for a chesty cough, how to staunch the blood after a small cut, and even a description of amputations in the navy in the 1800s.

The Christmas pudding caused a lot of discussion, as to whether it was better or not so good as memory served each one. Strangely, Lizzie thought our's was not so good, but Brother Joe said it was better. We then had a long lesson on the best way to make custard, both the set baked one and the pouring type, and had to call upon Joan, Joe's Aunt, for a definative recipe.

The younger ones sang carols and Pam and David joined in.

All together it proved to be a most enjoyable evening, and finished up on a serious note with Tom, Wendy's Son and guide, being given a promise that in the New year we would put more serious matters to the forefront of our seances.

December 20th. Report by Pam

Wendy, Pam and David sat as usual with Wendy in shallow trance.

We had no particular expectations tonight. David was feeling much better, but still needed to take care, and felt tired very quickly.

Nellie was bursting to talk to 'Uncle David' , almost before Wendy was in trance.

We discussed the original painting that Wendy had done to reproduce for her Christmas cards this year. It represented a Christmas tree with children gathered around it. Wendy had painted it to look like children from all ages, and it included Lizzie, Nellie, Joe and James as they appear in her mind.

Interestingly, Nellie immediately recognised them and was delighted with their representation.

She called Lizzie to have a look, but she was reluctant to come. Apparently, she was feeling very sad with all the talk of Christmas, and remembering the lovely times she'd had as a child on Earth, and the fact that she had not been able to find her Parents or her Grandparents, and confided to us that she feared they had gone to 'hell'. We managed to comfort her and assure her that they were around and if we asked Tom, Wendy's guide, we felt sure they could be found. Later, Dr. Brown said he would do all he could to locate them.

When Joe came to talk to us it was mostly about food, and the differences and similarities between then and now, and childhood tales of naughty children with 'eyes bigger than their stomachs'.

It seems that David has hit the bull's eye with his idea of making marzipan (marchpane) fruits and flowers for the party. In Joe's time almonds were very expensive, and his Parents would not have been able to afford them, although he seemed to know how to make marzipan. He said he would have tasted it at the Christmas parties over at the 'Big House'.

It seems that Whitchurch was very lucky during Joe's time, because John Whistler, Rector and Lord of the Manor, was one of the best, and did all he could for the benefit of the villagers.

Dr. Brown managed to squeeze in briefly just before we closed, and explained about his other commitments preventing him from being with David as much as we would have liked. He also re-iterated the need for continual care, and said to listen to his body, for instance, when it was telling him to rest.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/12/december-20th-report-by-pam.html' title='December 20th. He said the fall could have proved much more serious.

David thanked him and said he would bare in mind all of his wise words in the future.

Josiah had been 'helping' David at the time of his fall and was able to say what he thought had happened, which was that he had caught his heel on an unfamiliar and newly arranged step in the garden.

He went on to give David a clue as to where to look for a missing angle grinder. He knew where and when it was last used, and it seems it might well be at Pam's house.

We were told that all our regular visitors were there in a circle to wish David a speedy return to health. Nellie and Lizzie wanted to give him kisses on the cheek, and we all sang the carol, 'Away in a manger ' with Joe giving an accompaniment on the harmonica.

We briefly talked about the differences between making mincemeat in Joe and Lizzie's time, and then the Victorian times and finally how it was now, and they sniffed appreciatingly at the plum pudding that has been prepared ready for the party night.

(Later that evening a programme on the television re-iterated the differences with mincemeat down through the ages!)

Dec.14th. Report by Dave:

A lady was in the shop today was talking to Wendy about about my deceased wife Yolanda. The lady was discussing the tiger bread Yolanda and I used to make in our bakery. Apparently she had asked Yolanda what it was, and as sometimes happened, Yolanda had thought the woman was criticising it. Today, this had embarrassed Yolanda and she asked me this evening, in the seance, if she had misunderstood people, like on this occasion, often. Unfortunately Yolanda being Mexican sometimes misunderstood English in it's array of dialects and mistakes were made.

We think the only hell at death are the things you wish you had not done and are in no position to put right. Today Yolanda was there in the shop with Wendy and the woman, unable to apologise. This must have hurt. She put her arms out and needed a hug. We did and she said steady on, not in front of Pam! We talked at length of work she is doing in spirit. Not only are they watching Wendy's every move all the time. Pam and I worked on the green house/ conservatory at Pam's Whitchurch home last weekend only to find out that her husband Fred's spirit was in attendance all the time, watching us, although he is still alive with altzheimers in a Witney home.

He, Fred, tonight, talked about the project... asking how much fall there was going to be on the roof ?' Nine inches over 7 Feet ' I told him and we talked of the volume of rain that would come down the roof as a double roof valley discharges onto a single story roof and onto the conservatory. I said I am considering fitting an extra large gutter and he added 'yes I was about to suggest that '. Makes you think that each one of us are watched all the time and nothing is hidden . This is a taste of life in our next adventure, so some of us are experiencing it right now.

Spirit child Lizzy, who was put into a sewing department in the Reading work house 400 years ago, marvelled how good the needle was she was using to do the tapestry here in the lodge. They had a woman who used a stone to sharpen the ones they used in her day. They cursed if they got wet and rust stains on the cloth. She explained that some needles were made from bone with a hole burned in the end. She showed how the hole was burned in with a piece of hot metal pushed and twisted between your hands. But she had never used them.

Just watching spirit children Nelly and Lizzy working on the tapestry, with (medium) Wendy's eyes shut is a marvel in it's self. When the spirit people set it aside Pam does most of the tapestry of course and the end product will be here to see early next year.

Report by Pam:

Wendy, Pam and David sat again with Wendy in shallow trance.

The first visitor was Yolanda, David's Wife who died 7 years ago.

She said she happened to be around and looked in to see how we were doing. Otherwise she was very busy working with deprived and orphaned children, planting ideas into their minds to help them live a happier and more constructive life, and even to learn to play.

We then had Fred, Pam's Husband, currently in a Care Home, suffering from Alhzeimers. We had half expected him because he had tried to communicate with David when we visited him a couple of days earlier.

David is constructing a new lean-to greenhouse on the back of Pam's house, and Fred, who has been watching, had some concerns about the drainage, but appeared quite satisfied by the answers.

Josiah then talked some more about his early days in Whitchurch, and how, from the age of 8, boys could go over to the 'Big House' and have lessons on writing and arithmetic under the tuition of John Whistler, the Lord of the Manor, and seems proud of the fact that he longer had to sign his name with an X.

He wanted to know when we were going to hold our Christmas Party, and after a little discussion decided on the Tuesday following Christmas Day.

Pam asked about parties in his day, and he painted a delightfully jolly and happy mental picture of a typical occasion.

Then a visit from the inseparable spirit friends, Nellie and Lizzie, had them both putting in a few more stitches to the tapestry that Pam has nearly completed.

Lizzie commented on the needle we were using, and compared it with the ones she used when in the Workhouse, and how they were prone to rust which was a disaster if it stained the cloth.

From there we went on to discuss knitting. Lizzie knew nothing of that in the 1600s, but said they did crocheting and made decorative collars. Pam said they needed someone over at the Church to mend a crochet edging on a cloth, and wouldn't it be fun if Lzzie could have achieved the repair.

Nellie (mid 1800s) said knitting was just beginning to be known, but was often done by men, making heavy sea going sweaters or decorative Fair- Isled pattered pullovers.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/12/december-6th-report-by-dave.html' title='December 6th. This week we talked about the direction and contribution we here and them there want to make.

Doctor Brown and I have talked many times of health, fitness, and nutrition. Talking some weeks ago we aired each others views on varied foods and freshness . The importance of a varied diet to pick up trace elements set me thinking on bread production today.

Liberating the vitamin B (fat content ) in the milling process exposes the nutritious fat to air starting the oxidation deterioration process. This I experimented with this week mincing basic grain into a dough before fermenting and baking. It appears to work.

Past folk who have an interest in each of us individuals I'm sure and are able to plant ideas in our heads to create new things and set us off in a new direction. The thread connecting Dr Brown to me appears to remain connected most of the time for he spoke of all that went on
in the past weeks experiment at last nights seance.

You never feel alone any more. Just how comforting is that?

NOTE from Chris Di Nucci:

A couple of months ago a lady guest visited and sat in the lodge circle. She clearly had mediumistic tendencies, but appeared very tired. She works hard to support herself financially and is often drained by her emotional support of a sick friend. She has no children herself and is of an age when her older relatives have passed to spirit. She spends most of her time working...day in and day out....although she is of a positive mindset and considers herself to be very lucky to have what she has.

Then about three weeks ago another lady in the circle went to visit our guest and together they spent an evening in a haunted pub....basically they set up a seance there. Towards the end of the seance the guest sat holding a dowsing pendulum above a table on which letters had been placed...and to her shock and surprise the dowsing pendulum spelled her mothers name. This astounded her!

After making some emotional adjustments over the subsequent week or so the guest became more familiar with using the dowsing pendulum as a means of opening communication with those in the spirit world. Last week she again came to visit...and her face seemed less lined, her body appeared less tired. She described having a whole new social life and her eyes sparkled with her desire to communicate again with those that she had previously felt to be lost.

She is now looking forward to discussing family history with those that lived it!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/11/november-29th-report-by-pam.html' title='November 29th. Report by Pam

Every Tuesday evening we seem to get a surprise, and it was no different when Wendy (in trance) Pam and David sat again this week.

Josiah had set himself the challenge of finding one or more of his peers to come and enlarge on his tales of life in the 1600's.

After giving in on a guessing game with Lizzie,Joe's Sister, we welcomed her Aunties, their Father's twin Sisters, Joan and Ruth, who lived in Pam's house in Whitchurch, until it became overcrowded. They then accepted Master Whistler's invitation to come over to the 'Big House' and give a hand in caring for his ailing wife. They were full of praise and gratitude for their 'boss' and said they were treated more as family members, and had they realised that the civil war would have so little effect on the Village, Josiah and Lizzie (orphans by then) could have been over there with them, instead of being taken off to the Workhouse in Reading.

Joan and Ruth were still in their teens when they went over to the Manor House and had hoped to 'catch ' a young man each from the estate, but neither was lucky, and after Joe and Lizzie died in the Workhouse, they went back to live in the family home until they died, both in their 60's.

We learnt a lot more about life in the Manor House, and invited them to return. They said they had heard we were having a Christmas party and could they come.

Joe, delighted with his efforts then tried out his new harmonica David had bought for him, and gave us an accomplished rendering of 'The Holly and the Ivy'. He then, rather hesitatingly tried to recall and recite a carol from his time called 'The Cherry Tree', with a great many verses. His energy seemed to b e flagging, so we asked if Syd was around, because David had a query for him.

He came as if we'd aroused him from a deep sleep, but soon began a comfortable Brotherly chat.

As often appears to happen now, poor Nellie and her friend Lizzie are left patiently waiting for their turn at the end of the evening.

They wanted to sing us a carol that was a little later than Nellie's time (1800's), but that we would know and join in with. It was 'Away in a manger', so the evening ended in a very lively manner, and practise for Christmas is well under way.

Report by Dave:

What an incredible medium Wendy is , Just ask for Syd an they go , wake him up and get him talking to us . He confirmed that he pops in now and again at Bristol Spirit Lodge showing his identity by running his hand through his hair as always. Ten minutes talking of how we shaped the bakery business after taking over from my dad. We worked our socks off buying the property building a new bakery and each paying off our mortgages in ten years.

It felt the same as we did on occations when he was alive and came here to Gloucestershire to catch up on each others news only difference being I now have to pretend to be blind , but I reap the benefit of his ability to see all that is going on every where. We talked of his Daughter Janet and how as a young girl she took the reins of the bakery business when his heart attack slowed him down, she has lifted it even further. He was incredible letting her make mistakes in order to learn. In my dad's time we were the most insignificant bakery in the Reading area, now the only one left in the family with sevety nine years behind them.

The spirit Stone family grows at Josiah's Whitchurch Yeomans house.

Now we have Joan and Ruth his aunties who lived there into their sixties . We are about to find out so much more of life around civil war times .

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/11/november-21st-report-by-pam.html' title='November 21st. Report by Pam

Wendy, Pam and David sat as usual with Wendy going into shallow trance.

Our first visitor this evening was a great surprise. It was Nellie's Mother, Elizabeth, Liza, who died when giving birth to another baby after not fully recovering from the traumatic birth of Nellie, who was badly deformed. The baby boy also died.

We had not had contact with her before, although we had asked after her. Her Husband, Dr. Brown blamed himself for her death, but Liza, herself spoke in glowing terms of her dearest Frederick.

She thanked us for treating Nellie in such a generous way, and thought she was near to being spoilt.

We replied that we felt she had missed out on so many childhood pleasures that we tried to let her catch up on experiences to the best of our ability.

Her latest experience was to be present in the lodge while Wendy was touching up a painting of hers, hanging on the wall. Nellie wanted to add to it and did!

Pam's Grandmother and Mother had obviously become aware of her recent thoughts of missing a chat with them both, because first her Grandmother came through and then her Mother.

Her Gran enjoyed looking at some family photos, making comments and admiring the more modern way of mounting them in the album. She said she was always nosey, and still enjoyed watching us all to see what we were up to.

Pam's Mother commented that she had two impatient girls with her, and opened her arms to them, ending up with Nellie on her lap and Lizzie encircled standing close by her side.

Everyone this evening seemed struck by Liza's sad story and wanted to empathise. It seems they all have a traumatic period in their lives, and we learnt from Wendy afterwards that her Mother-in-law, Iris, was also waiting, unsuccessfully as it turned out, to add her sympathy as well.

When the girls eventually got their turn to speak, Nellie wanted to know if we approved of her painting exploits, and they both enquired about singing carols at Christmas, and should they begin practising. We asked what ones they both knew. The Holly and the Ivy was one, and We three kings of Orient, was another. Practising began straight away!

Message from Dave:

Our perception as to the reason for our being has changed in the last seven years and for what it's worth this is our findings. A spirit strand sends a link from the creator mass to a new born child on a quest to feel the prickliness of something that is not perfect, for how would perfect know what perfect is until imperfection is tasted.

In a lifetime many lessons are learned that at death are returned to the first step back to the creators mass. Our connection to that first step in our trance meetings is a great way to hone behaviour of those of us here in a direction of evolutionary progress both for us and them as we feel they are on a learning exercise as we are. The idea that life is all and at the end you go to heaven or hell just makes complete nonsense to me. Hell is the guilt you feel when your deeds are openly displayed to all in this first return step at death.

Talking to Lizzie ( our Cromwellian child ) of the tradition of putting a shoe in a roof of a house when newly constructed, she was appalled when told previous owners of her yeoman childhood home had removed the one in her house. To lighten the situation, right out of the blue she commented on a new plan Pam and I had spoken of two days before, to take the greenhouse from her rear garden and construct a lean-to conservatory/greenhouse along the back wall . The light comment was " Are you going to put a glass slipper in that glass house you're building on the back?"

You begin to realise the capability of their presence at all times, getting a taste of spirit ability to watch our every move. Quite a sense of humour from a child.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/11/november-15th-report-by-pam.html' title='November 15th. Report by Pam

Wendy, Pam and David sat, as usual, with Wendy in shallow trance.

The evening was divided into two distinct parts. The first half was devoted to a welcome visit from David's Mother and Father, the first time his Dad had been.

His Mum reminised about incidents in David's childhood, of how he helped her to remove an old kitchen range, and finished up a picture in black and red, soot from the range and red from the abrasions suffered.

She also spoke about pleasant times when they went on the River Steamer from Reading.

She said David's Father was nervous about coming to talk, as he was feeling very guilty at the way he was while the children were growing up. He can see now that his Methodist upbringing caused him to be very strict and the action in, and experience of, the First World War had a profound influence on him, and he became generous to a fault, with other people. So much so that the family suffered deprivation in consequence.

David told him not to feel guilty as he felt he had a good and happy childhood, and had, in retrospect, learnt a lot from the generous way his Father behaved towards others.

The second half was akin to a visitation of Grandchildren to their Grandparents and the excited anticipation of knowing there would be treats for them.

Nellie put in a few stitches into the tapestry picture, and between us decided on the words we wanted to embroider across the top. We shall put, LOVE AND LIGHT. (there being candles and flowers in the picture)

Lizzie wanted to put on her cap, and both girls enjoyed playing on the zylophone.

Then Joe tried his hand, and was remarkably adept.

Pam mentioned the possibility of having a party at Christmas, and they all got very excited. We had to squash Josiah's idea of a roast goose, but he succeeded with his request that David make some rush candles, and gave him instructions.

Our minds, now, are buzzing with ideas, and no doubt theirs are as well.

There seemed a little time left before we needed to close, so asked if anyone else wanted to come through. With no response, Dr. Brown said he might as well come and say hello, so we took the opportunity to ask him how he felt about our asking other mediums into the Lodge, as we were fearful of altering the energy or disturbing the balance in some way. Basically, his reply was that we should be careful who we invited and to make sure we closed down properly afterwards and then all should be well.

Additional words from Dave:

I asked about the earths change in vibration and if they had any comments on that subject.
The answer was prompt and to the point . The position of planets in the universe has changed causing a different vibration /pull on earth. Remember earth is a liquid covered by a crust. This is bound to cause cracks in that crust with quakes and tsunamis . We were told to ignore dates but expect things to happen that may change the way we live . It would not wipe out the human race.

My Mother and then Father dropped in from the spirit world this week.
We have Mum's sewing machine and Dad's lights from his baker's oven in the lodge and I was able to show them both . Mum always cut all the buttons off disguarded clothes and a draw in the sewing machine is still full to the brim with them . Dad said there must be some of the apron buttons that had a spring clip on the back so she could take them off befor they went through the mangle and got broken .

The mottley crew "Nellie , Lizzie and Joe came as if it was a visit to grandparents and showed off to the delight of all.

We closed with a pleasant easy chat with Doc Brown. He seemed tearfull when I asked of his wife, another Elizabeth and one feels he has guilt about life with her, feeling he should have done better.

Hell must be in all, over there, who feel disappointed with things they should have worked harder on while here. My Father for not getting the balance right in generosity to others and loved ones, Bernard who visits the circle in Bristol for his treatment of others and many other spirits who come through appologising. The up side is, we learn from others mistakes . My mother said if she had time and more money she would have spoiled me . I thank them for doing it this way.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/11/november-8th-report-by-pam.html' title='November 8th. Report by Pam

Wendy, Pam and David sat with Wendy in shallow trance.

We knew straight away who our first visitor was when he held out his hand towards Pam. It was her Husband, Fred, currently in a care home suffering from Alzheimer's Decease.

He talked extensively about the two visits he had had recently from his Son, Peter,( Wendy's Brother) with his two teenage Daughters, and a couple of days later from Toby, Wendy's son.

He commented on Peter and said how proud he was of him, both in the conscientious way in which he handled his job, and in his Fathering responsibilities. He also felt the Girls were doing well, and recalled the days when they were little.

He seemed very amused at Toby's longish hair style and his beard, remarking that his had been shaved off some time ago.

We were more than surprised when he began to discuss an idea that David and Pam had while at Pam's house last weekend, when they wondered about replacing a rather despised greenhouse in the back garden with one built against the wall of the kitchen. Fred said, make sure you build it large enough to be a sort of conservatory, with sliding doors to the garden, so that you can sit in it.

Nellie was obviously a bit upset at the Halloween celebrations, and was greatly relieved to know we shared her feelings of repulsion at the poking fun at the spirits, the dressing up in ghoulish clothing, and the new found habit of trick or treating. She was sure, she said, that Lizzie didn't like it either and wouldn't have behaved in that way. Whereat she calls in Lizzie.

Pam had done her best at replicating the sort of cap that Lizzie would have worn on Sundays, and she showed her appreciation when she put it on and tied the ribbons under her chin. She told us about a jingle that Pam's Father (Grand dad Harry) has taught her, and Pam well remembers being taught it as well, as a child.

It goes like this : How many beans make five? One bean, two beans, a bean and a half and half a bean, illustrated by using the fingers of one hand.

Josiah then made his voice heard but was horrified to hear that he was wearing Lizzie's cap and rapidly pulled it off, and ran his fingers through his hair. He answered a question of David's about an aspect of the model timber-framed building that was being constructed, and also one from Pam about the local church.

Tom, Wendy's Son who died at birth and is her guide closed the evening by relating the sort of lifestyle he would have chosen for himself, his appearance and how he would how dressed. Finally, he said there was someone else trying to contact us, but they were being very timid, and could not be persuaded, and eventually, went.

Additional thoughts from Dave:

An explorer in Africa is taken with his guide to a remote village where natives are dancing around a fire . What are they doing, he asks? He is told that they are celebrating and dancing with the dead.
A farmer way out west in America is experiencing a drought, so goes to an Indian and pays his money and makes it rain. What rubbish?

Then our spirit team tells us that Fred (Pam's husband with Altzeimers) has been with us watching every move she makes and is pressing me to make a green house into a conservatory and talking of all the goings on with family as if he is in spirit and physical at the same time.

Are these abilities something we have lost and now regaining? I do hope so because the world will be a better place when we all are aware of what is going on and no secrets can be hidden from our wrong doings to each other.

Love to hear of any one else out there who is experiencing this strange ability.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/11/november-1st-report-by-pam.html' title='November 1st. Report by Dave:

I had a 'one to three chat' with Dr Brown (spirit ) our trance medium & myself to find the best way to treat Multiple Sclerosis. Along with the aims the doctor and I, the energy flow practitioner (spirit worker) want to instil in the patient an ability to heal.

Basically, we all feel it most likely that Multiple Sclerosis is part of the eternal plan... presenting the victim with a learning challenge to advance the understanding of our very being. With this in mind our job and delight is to aid the sufferer and helpers to alleviate pain and extend a productive meaningful life.

Dr Brown had heard and read my thoughts of a couple of days prior to this meeting and asked me to fire away with questions . We started at the mouth so to speak, on diet. He said digestion starts in the mouth with mastication of food mixed with the mixing of digestive enzymes in saliva. We talked on food types and as in our case intolerance's are bugged by the fact that tiredness hampers the effectiveness of muscles involved with digestion and the movement through the body.

The fibergel supplement she is taking had his approval but it was recommended heavy stodgy things that ball into a lump when eaten are a problem to digest . Pumpernickel, dumpling's and bread puddings were of the type he had in mind. I was surprised when the Dr said that course grains like malted grain bread did not scratch the bowel and was considered to be fine. Dr Brown suggested that I bake breads with a big selection of grains in order to make available all the diverse elements needed to nourish the system.

The Doc supported my feeling that big evening meals should be avoided . Addictions like over indulgence in food and drink too...and that excess weight should be addressed . But this is up to the choice of the party concerned. Basically it is our calling to give the encouragement even if the will power of the patient is not there.

From my point of view, and that of the patient, a rigourous weekly exercise program has made a great deal of difference. One leg was considerably thinner than the other but we have built the muscle and they are now the same size. The toes on a foot were motionless, but are now able to move a little... but as the doctor says the nerve connection is poor. He says that stimulating the muscle by massage stops wastage and with this attention being given the adjacent nerves appear to see a need to help.

Asked if a tens type shock machine would help. the doctor said yes it certainly can do no harm. We talked of tummy massage to assist a sluggish bowel and he mentioned exercises on paralysed folk that may be used if the problem arises. He would put the thought into her (the patients) mind to ask the Therapist she is to see in a few weeks time. On elimination, he said she had stopped a senna based laxative and the fibregel one is better and not to take any other action until after three days.

To think he is in there with an eye on her inner workings and keeping me informed and able to take prompted action at all times is so reassuring.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/11/discussing-ms-report-by-dave.html' title='Discussing M.S. Report by Pam.

Wendy, Pam and David, with guests, sat this evening with Wendy going into shallow trance.

Most of the evening was given to a pre-arranged healing session, with David, spirit Doctor Brown, and one of the guests with an undiagnosed illness.

First of all Tom, Wendy's spirit guide, said that Dr. Brown was having difficulty in coming through, partly due to a brief electric storm we had just experienced, and one sitter of the sitters feeling insufficiently relaxed. He asked that we spend more time in preparation, with calm music playing. He talked us through joining hands into a circle, taking deep breaths, and imagining ourselves moving towards a softly clouded sky. Going through the clouds we would see golden lights which would be the souls of spirits and ours blending together.

After a minute or two Tom said that the connection was much better and Dr. Brown was now ready to come and talk to us.

He had a long, one to one, consultation with the patient, and at the end, in summing up, said he felt she was already doing all the right things, and could only suggest a couple more that might help. He also felt that she should stop trying to put a name to her illness. He would give her all the support he could, and hoped to speak to her again.

NOTE: FC, spirit guide of the Bristol Spirit Lodge broke in as I was reading this post prior to publishing it. FC wishes to support Dr Browns advice regarding the naming of ill health. FC said that to name is to define and give identity to. This practise may result in a symptom being given more attention than is its due and may also result in symptoms becoming grouped beneath a title, which may result in the individual negative force of a symptom being accredited with the power of the group force. Chris Di Nucci.

David said, he too, would give her all the support he could.

As Dr. Brown had mentioned diet, Josiah (another frequent spirit visitor) thought that was his cue to come and lighten up the evening, by re-telling his belief that the food eaten by his peers in the 1600's, was pretty good, and the rather intimate reason why. That caused a laugh all round.

He then entertained us with a monologue, spoken in 'Old English' about a supposed request to 'Master Whistler', the then Lord of the Manor, that someone visit a neighbour and his family, in poor circumstances, and needed help.

We knew that Nellie and Lizzie wanted to sing us a halloween song that they both knew while on earth (Nellie in the 1800's and Lizzie in the 1600's). It was 'Girls and Boys come out to play, the moon doth shine as bright as day' which was intended to pull together the children already in the spirit world and those still on earth. The first verse was universal and after that verses were made up ad. lib.

We all enjoyed listening to that and another rendering of 'Greensleeves' (at Pam's request)

James (Nellie's Brother who died at sea) was hovering and just came to tell us about his diet at sea, and how the salt from the salt beef, caught up in his newly growing moustache, and added to the saltiness of the spray off the sea caused his lips to become quite sore.

Report by Dave:

It was the first time any of us had experienced a spirit guide that was having an energy volume problem coming through talking us into a relaxed energy giving connection. He said the different energy of the new guests and the electric storm outside were to blame and we needed a little music , and to hold hands, and relax and go on a journey through the clouds and join the golden light that were our helpers in the spirit world. This worked well.

The doctor was so deep and thorough in his enquiry about the patients condition, that we onlookers had the feeling we had bought a daughter to a specialist who was so patient and enquiring with remarkable knowledge. Let's face it 200 years with a keen interest in today's medicine and having worked alongside Florence Nightingale. She was a bit of a dragon he says, but effective...however a fine experience in the Victorian start to women's liberation. What an asset he is.

Josiah's demonstration in Cromwellian manners speaking to lord of the manor John Whistler showing just how superior the upper class were treated in those days , was an education ...as was the singing of two children of between 200 & 400 hundred years ago singing as they did at Halloween with the children past to spirit world in their day.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/10/october-25th-report-by-pam.html' title='October 25th. Report by Pam.

Wendy, Pam and David sat again, and quickly had a surprise visit from 'Shalom', which was very welcome. He/she has not been since the early days of the lodge opening.

Note: 'Shalom' is a term of greeting, so may not be the spirit communicators name in fact. Time will tell.

The visit was quite brief, but the purpose was, apparently,to congratulate us, and to let us know that everyone was very pleased with the way in which we were going, and that we were on the right path, and not to let anything cause us to deviate.

We said we would do our best and expressed our thanks for all that was being done for us, and the help we were getting.

Dr. Brown needed to discuss, at length, with David, the details of a forthcoming healing session, and to explain what preparations could be made beforehand.

He talked, too, about Wendy's wheat intolerance problem, and how it was linked to her M.S. and a simple experiment that could be tried.

Time was getting on but he said 'our motley crew' (that's Nellie, Lizzie and Josiah) were anxious to have a word. He made the point that, for them to be able to visit us was like children enjoying the fun-fair! We said we enjoyed indulging them.

We did expect Josiah to comethrough, because David and Pam had been to the Weald and Downland Museum and had invited Josiah to join them, which seemingly, he did.

We were able to discuss features in the buildings seen at W&D that corresponded to Pam's timber-framed house.

When asked if the experience took him (Josiah) back to his childhood, he said he was disappointed at there being no village atmosphere. In his day there would be people in and out of each others houses, Children and animals running around, and everywhere business and bustle.

Pam has been trying to find out about the sort of cap that Lizzie would have worn on Sundays, and has cut out a prototype. She was delighted with the progress, and the prospect that, thanks to Wendy, she would be able to wear it, after making a few suggested adjustments.

During their weekend away, Pam had spotted, in a 'Bygones' shop, an embroidered tapestry picture of a young Victorian girl, and felt immediately that she had to purchase it. It transpires that Nellie also saw it, and encouraged Pam to buy it, and to hang it in the lodge.

For next week, we are promised another song from the two girls, and a speech in 'Old English' by Josiah, so watch this space!

Report by Dave:

Weald & Downland museum appeared not to notice spirit visitors Josiah and Lizy walking in with, us so they entered free : )

We never saw them either, but the feeling was there that they were accompanying us and this was confirmed last night.

I had not realised the 7" timber frame ran across the doorways & Josiah explained it kept the rain from running into the house and kept the rush and straw floor contained and dry. His Grandad's garde (loo) was half way up the stairs so was a better set up than anything they had nowadays, as it was more private and was convenient to both floors. Also it was not directly accessed from any other room.

The wood pile at the back of the farm house he said was pretty but as wood was being used all the time it never would have been that neat. A helper was splitting cord wood Josiah said, he seemed good with an axe. I commented he would have got on better with some wedges. To which Josiah agreed, saying as wedges got older they aquired a mushroom head that was good for protecting fingers when you first start them. I told him health and safety frown on that today because metal bits can fly off and hurt you. The overall feeling was that he, Jospah, missed the village atmosphere and the way there would be a bustle of neighbours going about there busines chatting and asking each other' hows your apples comming on' or ' I be off to hoe master Whislers field' .

It really is no wonder he & Lizzie longed for the peaceful loving environment of the early years of their home in Whitchurch....where they still visit.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/10/october-18th-report-by-pam.html' title='October 18th. An amazing report by Pam.

It has to be said, from an outsiders perspective, that this report is absolutely amazing. Pam's husband has been in residential care for a long time now, due to his suffering from Altzeimers. His condition is advanced now and seldom does he recognise those that care for or visit him. This situation has been very upsetting for his wife Pam. However, this report offers an alternative view.
Chris Di Nucci

Wendy, Pam and David sat together as usual, with Wendy going into a shallow trance. Within Wendy's altered state of consciousness the trio believes that those living within the spirit world become able to communicate.

Dr. Brown said Tom (both spirit visitors) was coming, but as everyone seemed to be there waiting to connect with us, he, as the senior one, thought he should come and keep an eye on the 'motley crew'.

He chatted for quite a time about various things, including the fact that he had been with Wendy and Philip the day before when they went to Cheltenham, and commented that he was amazed at seeing the mobile M.R.I. scanner outside the hospital.

Eventually, Pam said how much we had enjoyed his Son's visit the week before, where upon......

James (another spirit visitor) took over the conversation, and told us the story of how, when he was recovering from a severe sickness whilst serving aboard H.M.S. Badger, and was under the Captain's personal care, a gruel was ordered for him, at the captains request this was to be made from the best meat available. James said toiImagine how he felt when the cabin boy arrived with it, telling him, that they had been to the 'heads' (the loos) and collected some rats to make the gruel.

The next spirit visitors were Lizzie and Nellie, saying they had a song they wanted to sing to us.

After a tentative start, they began a very tuneful and delightful rendering of 'Green Sleeves', each singing a line in turn. The voices of all these spirit visitors take on different qualities one from the anther during this trance-enabled communication. At our request they sang the song again, with a change over with who sings which line, but they completely lost it when they came to the last line, and burst into giggles!

Note: Before we began the evening, Wendy had told us that the two girls had been practising 'Green Sleeves' all the afternoon so she felt we were in for a performance!

Pam had taken her growing tapestry into the lodge and the two spirit girls inspected it with interest. Nellie, by control of the mediums physical form, completed a line of stitches, but Lizzie said she would really prefer to try to make a cap, such as she would have worn whilst upon Earth.

Lizzie was delighted with herself for not feeling so shy, and announced that they had Fred there, but he was asleep. Fred is Pam's husband, who has Altzeimers.

She then tried to wake him with FRED, FRED, FREDDIE, FREDRIC, FRED PHILLIPSON.

Eventually he came through, as if from a deep sleep. Fred's personality was clearly presented and recognised by both his wife and Dave, who both visit the gentleman regularly despite seldom being recognised. Pam and he talked, reminising about their life together and even each confessing that there were occasions that they could have handled better.

Fred appeared to welcome David's friendship, but wondered how Pam could cope with some of his (Dave's) antics. David found it quite emotional as it was the first time he had ever spoken to Fred as man to man without the hindrance of Althziemers Desease.

An amazing report and a very interesting concept. This offers much food for thought.

Report by Dave

It was four years ago that I first met Fred, who is Pam's husband who lives in a Care home in Wallingford. Last evening was the first time I have been able to have meaningful conversation with him .

You wonder if you're doing the right thing when you join another man's wife when he is still alive, but I was always keen to support Fred, as well as Pam. I naturally sensed Fred's concerns about his wife, and about how she would get along as his mind deteriorates.

All of us here (my family) have given him the very best care that we can and, when we visit him, have always spoken to him as if he can understand but he is simply unable to answer. He has now, we feel, confirmed through his spirit transmission that this is the case, although it is somewhat blurred and short term memories are almost impossible to recall.

Pam had forgotten the make of a motorbike he had in the early days ,he referred to it as his old James bike. For him to approve of our togetherness and say he can't imagine how Pam puts up with my antics is quite something and for me to be able to tease with my following his D.I.Y. efforts saying' you used 10 screws where I reckon 2 nails would have serficed'.

He recalled an early kitchen refurbishment and said he had spent to much time with the slide rule instead of getting on with it. The most touching thing was him saying he was so pleased with the situation and gave us his blessing. Bless the 400 year old little girl that woke him up to talk via his daughter Wendy...and through this amazing mechanism has enabled his communication tonight.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/10/october-11th-amazing-report-by-pam.html' title='October 11th. Report by Pam

Wendy, Pam and David sat as usual, with Wendy going into a light trance.

Tom, our guide and Wendy's Son, came through first, and confirmed that it was he who spoke briefly to David, in a loud voice, during a dream last weekend.

He wanted to talk to David about relieving his stress when faced with a large number of tasks which appear to all need dealing with in a hurry. He said that one thing that was important was to learn to say, 'we need to delay that' to certain requests, that were not urgent, and when his mind became too cluttered, for instance, at night , when he couldn't sleep, imagine standing in front of an open window during childhood, and planning to do something carefree that he would enjoy like running over the fields, and then imagine doing it.

Wendy had had a premonition that we were going to get a visit from Nellie's Brother, James, who died at sea when 17, and we were not disappointed. He told his story of a brief life in the Navy, and how, at the point where he would have risen from Midshipman to Lieutenant, he lost his footing in the ratlines, when he went up the mast to adjust the sails during a fierce storm.

He was planning to become a ship's surgeon, and is now trying to help and comfort wounded and dying sailors during battles, and has been in WW11 and the Falklands, which he said was horrific.

He said he had many stories he could tell , if we liked, and we said 'yes please'.

His Father then came, as requested by David, as a health problem of a friend of a friend, had been referred to him, and he was anxious to do what he could to help. David felt that Dr. Brown's overall view of the situation would be invaluable, and a course of action has been put in place.

We couldn't close without saying hello to Nellie, but time was getting on. She wanted to play on the xylophone, and improvise music that reminded her of the sound of the streams in Wales, which she absolutely loved.

She was amused by a photograph we had cut out of the newspaper of a tiger in the zoo, licking an ice cream from a cone being held for it, and commented that the ice cream she had on holiday with Wendy was not in a cone, nor did it have a chocolate bar sticking out of the top.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/10/october-4th-report-by-pam.html' title='October 4th. Report by Pam

Wendy, David and Pam sat again after Wendy's week away on holiday, with no particular expectations.

Josiah and David's Brother Sid were both there ready to talk to us, but Josiah gave way to Sid, and there was then a long Brotherly conversation, talking about the impending visit by David, to their Sister Norah who is now in a Care Home.

They also reminised about their early life together as a Family.

Sid tried to explain how things were with him in the Spirit World, and how he was part of a large mass, something like a large lump of chewed chewing gum, where bits could be broken of or joined on at any time, and how at times there seemed to be the need to concentrate on someone in particular, for instance, if they needed help. as does Norah at the moment.

David and Pam had just attended a family member's wedding, so there was a bit of discussion about that.

Josiah waited very patiently, but was at last able to talk to David about the model timber-framed replica of Pam's 16th cent. cottage which he is trying to reconstruct as it was when Josiah and his Sister Lizzie lived there. He described the Midden or toilet arrangements, which was very enlightening.

He also talked some more about their everyday life, and how they owned a horse and two donkeys. One of these was used to pull a sledge like cart, called a skilly, to carry small loads around the village.

Nellie and Josiah's Sister Lizzie have become buddies in spite of their very differing lifestyles while on earth, but Nellie was full of her 'holiday' with Wendy, in Wales last week, and described the farmhouse and surroundings. She was very intrigued to meet the resident 'ghost', a young girl, a little older than her and who spoke in Welsh. She died a little later than Nellie and remembers the funeral of Prince Albert, and how everybody had to dress in black.

Nellie related to us how she went into a cafe with Wendy and Philip and tried a strawberry ice-cream in a paper cup, and found it very cold.

Lizzie said hello, but didn't stay for long. She said she had been listening to everything.

Report by Dave:

I shouted at the cats to clear off on entering the lodge and frightened the spirits off. When Josiah came he told me off and said only him and brother Syd are here" you frightened them away". Syd had a quality in life that was most admirable and that was forgiveness...he has carried that with him to the spirit world and is trying to rub it off on me with limited success .

I recalled him giving my son Colin employment who had previously stolen regularly from him in the past and he says now Colin is a nice man and he is fond of him showing that his forgiveness paid off .

My model construction of Josiah's Cromwellian (1) bay & smoke bay timber framed yeoman's home is a combined effort with Josiah and I sorting the bricks from the trees and he is making the separation from the homes each side that have made complications where boundaries overlap, staircases , bathrooms and all the modern conveniences lashed on . Boy is it good to talk to he who was there rather than dig in sketchy research. Lichen on an upstairs wall under plaster indicated this was the outside wall of the smoke bay that he confirms.

The back left corner upright jowl post is weathered indicating the smoke bay was not quite the depth back of the house. Now internal and weathering is obvious on back & side but what on earth is the mortice doing half way down on the bay side. He tells of the Midden that was a inside / outside loo lashed to the side discharging onto a pile of rushes that would be taken away and composted .

He talked to Pam about the blacksmiths down by the Ferry Boat Inn where horses would be changed by travellers to Oxford ( normally picking up their own horse on the way back ). His Dad had a horse and two donkeys . No wheeled cart for the donkey they could pull he says what you might call a pallet, we called it a Skilly - two shafts attached to a board with the ends dragging on the ground sometimes covered with leather ( We think this would work well over grassland ) And as for Nelly our Victorian little girl with her Cromwellian Lizzy friend walking hand in had having physical experience is quite something . On holiday in Wales with Wendy she meets a spirit girl called Mavanwe (it sounded like that ) who can understand English but speaks only Welsh. She remembers Prince Albert's death when all had to wear black . And so end's another weeks fun with the other side.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/09/september-27th-report-by-pam.html' title='September 27th. Musings from Dave

As Wendy is away this week I thought last Wednesdays visit to the Bluebell healing group circle that is held as an alternative to clairvoyance once a month in Chippenham would be of interest to B.S.L readers.

Rev Joan Williams read from White Eagle on the direction of the world and we meditated for about 20 minutes at the end Bev went into trance and spoke with great wisdom about the changing world in 2012.

This struck a note with me as a year ago science came up with the fact that the planet's vibration has changed back to the level millions of years ago I believe they said. The full effect would not be felt until November this year. We all past this off as another scare like happens regularly when clever people tell the end of the world will happen at a precise date & time and it does not. However I perked up my ears when spirit on several occasions also talked about it , as the comment by them in the past has been so accurate and has been repeated several times both at meetings as in spirit orientated press maybe we should not cast it aside and instead be prepared to watch this space.

My meditation led me to a Tibetan mountain area with the hum of sound bowls. As most have experienced that hum-mm sound goes on and on never leaving for the duration of the meditation and that was how it was .

The peaceful self sufficient way of life so fragile also like the North American Indian destroyed by the greed of others ( more lives of Indians were lost in the opening up of America than the numbers lost in two world wars ) Yet we do not talk about this in the West. I saw many religion's churches all with memorials to battles won by heroes killing to convince others their way was the only one.

So am I dreaming or could the scientific fact that vibration enables molecules to stick together ( that is why we are solid , unlike spirit ) and coupled with the belief that we only use one third of our brain.. just maybe kids born after November will have elongated heads like the Egyptian women on wall carvings? At least let us pray the vibration enables them to use the brain in a better way than we pathetic humans.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/09/sept-20th-musings-from-dave.html' title='Sept 20th. Report by Pam.

Wendy, Pam and David sat as usual.

After a few minutes of soft music playing, we heard Dr. Brown's voice introducing himself, and saying how pleased he was with David's progress after his heart attack, and congratulated him on paying attention to the aftercare course he has been attending. He said, like any doctor would,he felt proud of his patient, and was pleased to be involved with it all.

David asked him if he thought there was anything his friend Jackie could do about her alopecia she is suffering, but his reply, though probably very true, inferred that there was nothing much could be done at her age, and could be largely psychological.

After a little more conversation with him, he said he had a surprise for David.

It proved to be Yolanda (David's 'deceased' wife), talking about how she views things very differently now from how she thought and acted while on Earth.

She seems to delight in her absorbing, chosen pathway, where she is trying to help poverty stricken families, in countries such as India, and now, parts of Japan. She spoke about the need to implant thoughts into the minds of children,as they were more receptive, to improvise carts for transporting water etc.

David and she exchanged many shared memories of their married life together.

Finally, we had our usual visit from Nellie(spirit child), taking a great interest in the tapestry that Pam had started to embroider, and when she realised it was in the lodge, wanted to see if she could work some stitches, and was delighted to find that she could, in spite of the fact that she was right handed and Wendy (the enabling medium) is left handed.

She couldn't leave without tinkling away on the xylophone and, as her Father has said she should try to play actual tunes, attempted one or two recognisable nursery rhymes. She was sorry to hear that Wendy would be away on holiday next week, but thought she might spent some time with her.

Report by Dave:

The doctor is so keen and informed on the progress of todays medicine.. and also has the ability to analyse the root problem of the loved ones I ask about.

On the subject of nerve regeneration he points out the example of Wendy's optic nerve saying (you will appreciate that nerve has healed but taken twenty years to return to almost normal & the short distance between the nerve and the brain gives you an idea of the slow regeneration). He believes in other cases it could be possible that a parallel nerve may take on the work of a damaged one. When the myelin sheath is damaged your immune system attacks and destroys the nerve thinking it is foreign unwelcome matter.

He talked of the experiment on a born blind man who had electrodes fixed on his back that reacted via a camera . He was put in a white room with a black door and was able to reach the door and open it even though he had never experienced colour before. The wealth of knowledge & searching within our bodies is quite remarkable.

Yolanda, who was born outside Mexico city came with her family to the outskirts to progress . Having no shanty the men went to work while the women and children made mud blocks to dry in the sun. As the the water was collected from the stream they also returned with rocks for foundations & the construction. For the roof cardboard from the tip was covered with bitchumen. She had a hard life but was determined to get out of her poverty and in her 50+ years did this achieving quite remarkable things. So it is no surprise that now, in the spirit world, she has chosen to help children in the same predicament as she had and to guide the minds of the young that she feels are easier to convince than the confused elder generation. She say's of the Japanese Tsunami, while parents threw hands in the air in despair at having no electricity or cooker the kids were bright enough to gather dry wood and cook over a fire. The same in Mexico and Africa where children carried water using a wheel and barrel to bring a lot more water quicker than mum could carry in a pot on her head. My mother says Yolanda has a lot more patience now and is doing good work.

Dr Brown talked of a friend of mine who's hair is falling out and causing her concern. We talked of her hypochondria. He having mentioned this, and me confirming it . He says she spends a lot of money trying every crank remedy. Not a lot he could do as it is an ageing thing. The recommendation is be sure not to overdose on any treatment and try one at a time as often trying something different is likely to set up a detrimental effect. If it upsets settle for a wig.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/09/september-13th-report-by-pam.html' title='September 13th. Report from Pam

After a short break, it was good to be back in contact with our spiritual friends, although the feelings are that they have not been far away.

David and Pam have been on a week's cruise, and Pam felt Nellie's prescence most of the time. She seemed to want to have the experience, but did not really enjoy it.

Josiah kept well clear of the water most of the time, but David said he was sure he had a look at it all. ( Josiah has an aversion to bathrooms, washing, and water in general unless it is in it's rightful place)

When David and Pam returned home, Wendy had had communication with her spirit guide, her Son, Tom, and he had been reporting to her during the week, and, perhaps, not surprisingly,it tallied, although she was able to tell us that Dr. Brown had inspected the medical facilities on board, and was re-assured that they were completely adequate. The night or their return home, Nellie appeared, and spoke a welcome home, during a dream that Pam experienced.

Most of the seance on Tues. evening was devoted to Nellie's reactions to the previous week, telling us how alien it all felt to her. The crowded boat, the overweight passengers, and the continual eating, especially out on deck, made her feel very uncomfortable.

She now seemed back to her usual lively self again, tinkling away on the xylophone, and discussing a tapestry that Pam had brought home to embroider.

Eventually, Josiah came and confirmed that the cruising scene was definately not his.

Pam suggested that it was time we met his Sister Lizzie, still a child when she died in the workhouse. After a short break, she came and spoke very shyly at first but then became more confident. She said it was the first time she had spoken to folk on Earth, and didn't feel too sure about it, but she proved to be very interesting indeed. She told us about her daily life, her chores, and the little games she played. She described her usual attire and how it differed on a Sunday.

We thought it was then time to close, but Josiah felt a little hard done by, so we asked him what he would like to talk about.

He was interested in the fact that David had lit a fire in our pot bellied stove, and commented that the wood he was using was not very suitable. He then gave a very informative lecture on cutting and stacking wood for use on a fire.

He said it should be stacked on a slope against a wall with bundled straw between it and the wall. It should be stacked in herringbone fashion, and in such a way that one could use the oldest first, except if the womenfolk wanted to cook stew on a cooler fire. Then one would use the newer, damper wood.

Report from Dave:

To feel you are not alone with each other but permanently walking with a spiritual periscope sticking out of your head is a new found experience for Pam, Wendy & me. On Pam and my cruise every thing we did, saw and touched reacted on our minds as if we were experiencing it from a Victorian, Cromwelian and present time view.

This proved to be the case last evening in the lodge. Reactions , gut feel were exactly related to comment made by spirits coming to talk to us. This you clearly see in Pam's report.

Research needed to write a book can be time consuming as well as unreliably inaccurate . Talking to our Com-Vic spirits 1-2-1 appears as accurate if not more so.

So proud was I asking Josiah how he liked the stove fire. I was put in place by his complaint as to what on earth are you burning ? It smells terrible. I had cut up old fencing . Then as you see in the report we were told how to prepare wood for the fire.

Josiah says " You wana Talk to Lizzie " us "yes please" J " come on gel - com on " and a shy quiet little girl starts to talk at length telling Pam about her workhouse clothing . Interacting conversation with Pam just as if she were talking sat next to her. Then to me.

We talked about the house and the model I am making of it. As it is wooden frame I have followed the pattern that exists as near as I can and asked if It was like this. Her first humorous retort was " It's
going to be a bit draughty" I said " give me time to find bricks to do the in fill.

The staircase at the end of the smoke bay is proving tricky to envisage and I hadn't realised another fire place had been back to back to the original one. She says there was a centre pole that the steps went around and now I can see how it would fit in. Pam talked of other children in the village and did she play with them . Lot's of children down by the river but they breed like rabbits down their and I'm not aloud to play with them. Way back Josiah had said Lizzie had liked to touch people's hair but had never wanted to talk , so I said she was welcome to touch at any time but she said as Pam & I were not married she had been told it was not the right thing to be together as we were and would not intrude. We talked of child games , making daisy chains & she demonstrated folding and shooting a plantain. She liked drinking ale through a piece of straw and blowing bubbles " you need
a bit with no notches in it mind ".

She was not strong enough to she is not strong enough to pull chickens necks but showed Pam how her mother did it putting the chicken under her arm. Pam said she lived at Ashampstead about 7-8 miles away where her dad had a chicken farm . This was greeted with surprise and she said she knew Ashampstead.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/09/september-6th-report-from-pam.html' title='September 6th. Report by Pam (with addition by Dave)

NOTE: Soft lighting conditions and trance-enabled spirit communication throughout.

Wendy, David and Pam sat in the usual way, and the first visitor (through Wendy) was Pam's Husband Fred, with Altzheimers.

His favourite piece of music, Rhapsody in Blue, was played and it seemed to put him in a romantic mood. He said he would have liked Pam to put on a pretty frock so that they could go dancing. Pam felt him touch her faced and wanted to kiss her. He seemed to be enjoying himself, but had to be shooed off in the end to give others a chance to communicate.

Nellie came briefly (coming forward through Wendy and taking physical control of this vessels limbs) and improvised on the xylophone with very pretty water-like tunes. Then she suddenly began to hit the notes very forcefully, and said 'ooh that was naughty' and giggled.

Nellie then called Tom, the gatekeeper. He spoke in a very deep and profound manner, trying to explain to us how spirits can choose to progress, and commented that Nellie had chosen not to! He also mentioned several of our relatives who had also chosen not to progress, which seemed to be the case if a fulfilling life had been experienced on Earth.

Speaking of himself, he said, one could think of him as a Dr. Who. He travelled a lot, in different time scales, to experience a great variety of scenarios. He likened it to the story of Pilgrim's Progress, or a Buddhist journey of discovery. It could be tough going and difficult at times, and what we would call, exhausting. Sometimes, when he was required here, he had to 'come back' from wherever he was, but he was able to leave a bit of his spirit around so that Nellie got the impression that he was there all the time.

Dr. Brown put in a brief 'appearance' and congratulated David for his 'signing off' from the Hospital after his heart attack, and David thanked him for his part in it all and said, if it hadn't been for Dr. Brown, he would most likely be over there with him.

Lastly, at a call from Pam, Josiah said he hadn't intended to come at all last night. He was very happy with everything we were doing at Whitchurch and liked the idea of David building a model of the old house as it had been in his day.

Report by Dave:

When Tom was talking of his position in the spirit world I asked if he recalled any of his previous lives. He said as far as he was aware his last one was his first and has learned by latching on to situations others are or have experienced in the past.

He recalled me telling Wendy the other day on the way home from the swimming about my Dad's horrific experience in the first war at Ypres ...saying that He was capable of latching on to that when he was stuck in no man's land for two days, with shrapnel in his ankle , the stench of dead around him the hunger the pain. You will understand we are able to latch on and carry the pain until they get to the wound dressing station as we did with you when you (Dave suffered a recent heart attack) walked up that hill with a heart attack in progress.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/08/august-23rd-report-by-pam.html' title='August 23rd. Report by Pam

The intentions of Wendy, David and Pam were to leave the pattern of the evening entirely to their Spirit Team with no particular requests.

The first visitor was David's Brother, Sid, who wanted to admonish David for not taking sufficient care over his recovery from his recent heart attack. Sid, himself, had died of a heart attack, so, as he said, he knew what he was talking about. He said too many people relied on David and he must think of them and heed the warnings. David promised not to 'push his luck' in the way he had been doing.

Nellie was then very anxious to practise her 'Bobby Shafto' on the xylophone, but after a while she got impatient and started to improvise which was much more fun for everyone. She said she had a message from her Father, because he gets cross with David sometimes, but at other times he was very pleased. She paused to get her Father to talk. He said he had not intended to come through. but would just reiterate what Sid had said, and then, at a question from Pam, told us some more about his life as a 19th. century G.P.

Josiah (another regular spirit visitor) was obviously' chomping at the bit', but when we invited him through, he said Pam's Mum and Dad wanted a quick word first. They had a little story to tell, but they began by saying that Josiah was very amused at them because of their great age difference...Pam's Dad died when he was 49, and her Mum at 92, and both have elected to stay these same ages when in the spirit world.

However their little story confirmed a theory that Wendy held and that was that her Grand Mother's (Pam's Mother) diamond cluster engagement ring which she now posesses had been bought by her Grand Father in Paris on his way home from the 1st. World War, when he had been stationed in Egypt. Wendy's curiosity had been aroused when a local jeweller had informed her that it had a French setting.

All were highly amused when Grandad imitated the French he spoke on entering the shop to buy the ring.

Josiah waited very patiently, but was bursting to relate more of his and his Sister's life in Whitchurch, and how his Grand Father and Father had built their house, and that they were not tenant Farmers, although they did offer their services to the then Lord of the Manor. He explained how John Whistler felt that Josiah and his Sister, left as orphans, would be saver in the workhouse, because of a fear of Cromwell's troops coming through the village and torching all the smaller dwellings. In retrospect, it appears a bad decision, but at the time it seemed best.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/08/august-16th-report-by-pam.html' title='August 16th. Report by Pam.

Before the session began, Pam had expressed the thought that it might be a nice idea to have a family evening, when they could feel free to have a word, instead of trying to find a small slot to squeeze into during one of the special evenings with Dr. Brown or one of his guests.

The three of us therefore sat, as usual, being open and welcoming to whatever evolved.

Tom, the Gatekeeper came first, stood up and said, although he had a large group of family wanting to say hello, he knew Nellie really wanted a few minutes to experience the xylophone she knew we had for her.

She struck out on it immediately, but then stopped and apologised because she needed more practise to be able to render accurately the Nursery Rhyme to which her Sisters had made up their own words in honour of their Brother, who died when he was 17. This was the way it went.

James F. Brown has gone to sea,

Silver Buckles on his knee.

When he comes home, happy he will be.

Happy James F. Brown.

James F. As we knew he had enjoyed Old Time Jazz, we had brought a disc into the lodge, and now seemed the right time to play it. He came through whistling as he was often heard to do, and obviously enjoyed hearing the sound, and even objected when we turned it off in order to have a few words with him.

Fearing that Wendy was tiring, Tom suggested we leave David's Family visit for another evening, but his Mother just squeezed in, and delighted us with her stories, and made us well aware that in some ways he hasn't changed a bit.

NOTE: We have audio recordings that were evidenced within seance conditions a few years ago. These were of communications with spirit guides, who explained about Altzeimers being a condition within which a sufferer was enabled to spend much of their time within the spirit world. Please see http://www.spirit-lodge-diary.blogspot.com/ and scroll down to find and listen to these recordings.
Chris Di Nucci

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chatting-with-spirit.blogspot.com/2011/08/august-9th-report-by-pam.html' title='August 9th. So we have settled for a xylophone that amazon will send before next Tuesday.

While you were here Wendy commented Nelly liked the macaroon she ate, This spurred me on to talk to her dad about senses not available over there that an entity can experience while here in a vessel. Then Nellie's little voice says 'hello Nan, Tom says we cannot stay long tonight because Father wants to come and talk to Uncle David, but first we have Fred wanting a quick word.' Josiah pops in to say 'I know when I'm not wanted, just joking'.

Fred (Pam's Husband who has Altzheimers Disease) apologised for being fast asleep when we visited him a couple of days ago, but feels more and more that he just wants to sleep. We said not to be concerned, we fully understood, and as long as he was comfortable, we feel content.

Then, at David's request, Dr. Brown exchanged a long conversation with him, about trying to heal Wendy of her M.S. He explained the extent to which it was going to be possible to help her, and why it was not going to be possible to work miracles. Apparently, Nellie is very keen to help, and with her Father's encouragement, she can get inside Wendy's body and report back to him, the areas where there is nerve damage too bad to heal and those parts which it might be possible to do something about.

He explained that there were a lot more factors involved than just the nerves, and this was where the problems would arise, although Wendy did appear to have had an optic nerve repair itself over about 20 years.

He reminded David about his own accident when he was five and how it has never completely healed and never would.

An interesting fact was that nerves laying just under the skin, and damaged, leaving scar tissue, are not likely to repair. He went into great detail as to why this should be.

Dr. Brown seems to be keeping up with all the latest research and technology, and is able to quote anything relevant.

David asked him about our life plan, and if, in fact, it was not in a person's interest to try to heal them. The answer was complex, but briefly, it appears that whenever anyone has an accident, or some unintended deviation, a reassessment is carried out to make a future plan for them. For instance, Tom's death at birth was an accident, it was not meant to happen, but when it did, he was reappraised.

Similarly, when David had his accident, there was a possibility that he could lose most of one leg, but in his reassessment, it was decided that, partly because it would add to his Mother's already heavy load it was in everyone's best interest to put the foot back together as best as possible, so that he could walk reasonably normally. The main consideration was, however, the way in which his recovery would now fit in with the Creator's overall plan, which is something like a jig-saw.

Dr Brown concluded by praising the effort David was putting into excercising Wendy's legs in the swimming pool, and in the morning massages at home, and said they were very beneficial, and cited particular ones he should make sure were included. He stressed the importance of keeping what strength that remained, as efficient as possible.

July 31st 2011

Report by Dave:

Toby, Wendy's son, took her to a concert in Reading then dropped her off at Whitchurch on Saturday for us to bring her back here today.

Wendy ,Pam & I were sitting on the side of the bed in Whitchurch this morning. Pam feels her house to be haunted so we decided to have a little go and see if Nelly could find the resident ghost-------

About 2 mins in after the opening prayer there was a yokel lad trying to tell Nelly (Wendy's spirit guide) to get out it was his house. We calmed them and made friends (with Wendy being 'used' by the two communicating entities).

The lad said that his parents had both died from an illness & he and his sister were taken in a cart to Reading where his sister was made to do sewing while he had to sort stone because the fine folk liked pebble drives to walk on, the big stones they used to repair garden walls or discarded.
He only saw his sister on Sundays. He absolutely hated this and longed for the Whitchurch home.

He talked of Charles (king) being pushed out by Cromwell and the fighting not far away at Basing .

Pam is fascinated by the history of her house. She chatted with the lad and he told her, pointing to the corner of the room, that the stairs came up there and we had the fire in the middle of the room down stairs & that was best for cooking but it was a bit smoky so we built a fire place.
We all slept up here and stored apples up there pointing to the next floor, he said.

Masses to tell but I will leave it to Pam to report. Nelly shyly wanted to tell him of the swimming pool incident. We told her to go ahead. He laughed at her and said how silly it would be to swim getting cloths wet. he took all his off . If you had ti wait for your clothes to dry in the bank they wood be all stiff and crush yer whatsits. She said she didn't know what whatsits were!

NOTE: When Dave and Wendy went swimming recently Nelly came through and appeared to enjoy feeling the water. However, when Dave asked her for a cuddle she said she was frightened as he had no clothes on...and withdrew.

Report by Pam:

Pam's home is a timber framed yeoman's house, in South Oxfordshire, dating from the late 1500s. When she and her Husband went there in 1987, extensive restoration was needed to take out some of the' modernisation', and get back it's character. They had to think hard, do endless research, and make some assumptions along the way, but today, many of their unanswered questions have been answered.

This morning, Wendy and David were also there, enjoying cups of tea in what was, the main bedroom. Wendy wondered if Nellie had 'tagged along' and if she had,did she find it a pleasant place to be?

NOTE: Wendy is the regular medium sitting for trance enabled communication in the Tranquilarium. Nellie is a spirit child who communicates with and through Wendy. David, of course, is Pam's partner.

Very quickly we heard her distinct childish voice, followed very rapidly by a strong, country sounding young man. He told Nellie that she could not live in the house, because he and his sister were already there, and he didn't want another sister. We managed to calm the situation, and from then on they chatted together from time to time.

It seemed that our new visitor, Josiah, lived in Pam's house, for 10 or so years, during the middle part of the 1600s. He recalled the troubled times in the area during the civil war, and the conflict locally between the Royalists and Parliamentarians. He also talked about his parents dying of some illness, and he and his sister being taken to Reading in a cart, and each ending up doing menial work, and missing their own home, so it was not surprising that when they, too, shortly died, they were determined to go back there.

He spoke about the changes in the house over the centuries, some he approved of and others he didn't. He didn't seem too keen on the installation of bathrooms, and asks what was wrong with getting a bowl of water from the butt in the garden?

Pam asked him if the two inglenook fireplaces were there in his day, and he said no, they, and the large chimney stack were put in later. They had a fire in the middle of the main room downstairs (considered to be a little old-fashioned,even as long ago as that) ...it caused a very smokey atmosphere, but the meat cooked over it was very tasty.

July 26th 2011

Only one entity visited for the whole session, but it was very powerful, and left us with much to discuss, and wonder over.

He/she, (although it sounded like a man's voice) introduced himself, and said that he had had a request from Dr. Brown to come and talk to us, as they felt a few things needed to be clarified.

When pressed for a name, he said 'you can call me "Shalom' if you like. That means 'peace' in Hebrew, but really I have no name. I am a conglomerate. I am very old, and have been back to Earth many times, and learnt a great deal, although I don't know everything. I have been with prophets of many cultures, and been many people that you might read about in history books. You could call me one of the 'Wise Men'.

He felt that our way was very close to the straight path, and the path he had struggled with, with many pilgrims over the years. Our "tranquilarium' was a very special place, and a spiritual centre. He said there were places throughout the length and breadth of Earth where spiritual beings could feel safe. Most churches and temples make natural sanctuaries., and you have created a little centre where we are able to be at peace with people living out their lives on Earth, and we thank you for it.

He liked our choice of music, as it was reminiscent of natural sounds... like the sea, the wind and the water. He also commented on David's crystal bowl, and said it brought back childhood memories. He felt the energy we were creating was attracting like minded people, which was good and we should do all in our power to maintain this state and resist anything that disturbed this peace, like raucous singing etc. as that would only attract that type of visitor which was fine if that was what was required, but we know this is not what you want. David wants to be a 'healer', and with this aim, the rest of you must be very supportive, and spiritually dedicated, and committed. It is important for there to be sufficient bearers of the truth to carry the message into everyday life.

Throughout most of this seance there was the sound of a couple of cats having a brawl on the roof, and at one point the entity suggested he would calm them if we wished but we said if it didn't bother him it was alright with us...and so on they went!

July 2011

David first heard of Dr. Brown as being the Father of Nellie, a girl born in 1828, and only living until she was 9 years old (we think in Lewisham).

For a couple of weeks she had been contacting the Circle through a Medium in shallow trance, initially by writing and then with a delightful childish voice. Since David's aim is to teach healing through energy flow therapy, he began to wonder if he could enlist Nellie's Father's help in any way.

Two weeks later, Dr. Brown contacted the Circle, and conversed at length with David who explained that he wished to help people to understand that there is an afterlife and to have enough faith to heal themselves, and could the Doctor help with this.
Dr. Brown replied that it was certainly an area of experimentation that he was particularly interested in and had already had a small amount of success.
Firstly, he said, it was important for David to persuade people to have trust in what he has to say, and for him to have compassion for the patient. Most health problems are a combination of mind and body.
He, himself ,was always 'banging on about this' with other doctors.
Personal tension and fear in the form of stress exacerbates the pain felt, and as David had had experience of this himself, he was in a good position to pass on this knowledge. He thought that drug treatment was so advanced these days that it should not be disregarded.
Dr. Brown said that certain difficulties could not be overcome by physical intervention, for instance, Nellie who was born malformed, and could not be cured on earth, and it was only now, with David's help, that he was able to transform her crippled body, much to her delight.

Two days later, David suffered a mild heart attack and was rushed to hospital, where he had an operation to fit 3 stents. He returned home 48 hours later feeling fine, and said that he had mentally asked Dr. Brown to be with him throughout.

When the Circle sat the following week, Dr. Brown said he had difficulty in getting through, the energy was not great, probably due to the fact that David was not yet fully fit. When he did eventually manage it, he said 'well we have been through an exciting episode together'.
David asked him if he was an observer or actually involved with his emergency. He answered that he was very much involved. Although it was a scheduled event, and part of David's life plan, Dr. Brown became quite alarmed at one point and had to call in 'significantly important forces to keep David's pump working', as he still has important work to do here. He listened with concern as the local Doctor discussed the unstable heart beat with the paramedic.
He said that if he had been born a hundred years earlier, 'frankly you wouldn't have stood a cat in hell's chance.'
Dr. Brown said he was fascinated by the combined technology. The miniscule camera was hard to conceive when thinking of Fox Talbot and his gadgetry. http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/historic_figures/fox_talbot_william_henry.shtml

Everything was far more sophisticated, and he found it all quite remarkable. It had been his first opportunity to see such a thing, as entering a physical body has to be by invitation only. He had learnt something about anatomy. G.Ps had no formal training in his day and only learnt from other doctors.
He offered his thanks for allowing him to see such a thing, and congratulated David on coming through so well. He said that if he had been able he would have taken him to his club and bought him a port, as he knew that was a drink he enjoyed.

The energy in the room seemed to be diminishing and we suggested that we close for the evening.
